The 2027 Toyota Corolla Hatchback gains larger digital displays, new paint options, and updated connectivity while keeping its familiar 169-hp powertrain
The 2027 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is arriving with upgraded displays, new exterior colors, and additional connected features. While Toyota has left the exterior design and powertrain largely unchanged, the technology updates help the compact hatchback remain competitive with newer rivals.
Pricing starts at $26,075 for the SE, while the better-equipped XSE starts at $29,170. Those figures represent increases of $700 and $800, respectively, compared with the 2026 model.
Larger Digital Displays Modernize The Cabin
The most noticeable changes are found inside the 2027 Corolla Hatchback.
The entry-level SE comes standard with a 7.0-inch digital instrument display and an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The XSE receives a larger 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen. SE buyers can add the same screen combination through an optional Premium Package priced at $800.
Even after adding the package, the upgraded SE remains $2,295 less expensive than the XSE.
These updates give the cabin a more contemporary appearance while improving access to navigation, entertainment, vehicle settings, and connected services.
New Paint Options Expand The Color Selection
Toyota is also adding three exterior finishes for 2027:
Inked, Blueprint, and Blueprint with a black roof.
The first two colors are available without an additional charge. Choosing Blueprint with the contrasting black roof adds $500 to the price.
The additions bring the total number of exterior color choices to 13, including five combinations available with a black roof.
The 169-HP Engine Carries Over
Under the hood, the 2027 Corolla Hatchback continues with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque.
The engine is paired exclusively with Toyota’s Direct Shift continuously variable transmission, which sends power to the front wheels.
Toyota does not offer all-wheel drive, a manual transmission, or a hybrid version of the standard Corolla Hatchback.
The powertrain prioritizes predictable performance and everyday efficiency rather than aggressive acceleration. A previous test of a similarly equipped Corolla FX recorded a 0-to-60-mph time of 8.3 seconds.
That figure is not especially quick, but it remains competitive with several mainstream compact cars.
Connected Services Are Included
Every 2027 Corolla Hatchback includes a five-year trial of Toyota Connected Services.
The package covers Safety Connect, Service Connect, and Remote Connect. Buyers also receive a 30-day or 3-GB Wi-Fi Connect trial, whichever limit is reached first.
These services support features such as emergency assistance, vehicle health information, remote functions, and in-car internet access.
2027 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Pricing
The 2027 Corolla Hatchback SE starts at $26,075, an increase of $700 from the previous model year.
The Corolla Hatchback XSE starts at $29,170, representing an $800 increase.
The optional SE Premium Package costs $800, the black roof adds $500, and the gloss-white accessory wheels cost $1,495 before tires and installation.
Toyota says the updated hatchback is expected to begin reaching U.S. dealerships soon. Information about the 2027 Corolla Sedan will be announced separately.
With its larger screens, expanded color selection, and familiar 169-hp engine, the 2027 Corolla Hatchback remains aimed at buyers who want a practical compact car with sportier styling and more cargo flexibility than a traditional sedan.
